What we offer

Each school in NSW offers something slightly different depending on the community. Here's what we offer for you.

Canteen

All canteens in NSW public schools must meet certain requirements. These include providing more healthy food and drink options – to make the healthy choice an easy choice for students. Visit Healthy school canteens to learn more.

The canteen is operated by P&C parent volunteers. Our canteen operates counter service for children to purchase snacks and refreshments. We also offer lunch and recess orders. These can be purchased by placing a paper bag with cash in the Canteen box or online via Qkr!. The Qkr! app can be downloaded on your phone and you can order up to 9am in the morning. For information on how to download Qkr! please click here. If you don't have a smartphone, a web-based version of Qkr! is available here.

Uniforms

When students wear a school uniform, they feel included in our school community.

Students, teachers, parents and carers, as well as members of our local community helped develop our school uniform to make sure it:

  • meets the requirements of occupational health and safety, anti-discrimination and equal opportunity legislation

  • includes items that are affordable, comfortable and made from easy-care and easy-wear fabrics

  • is appropriate for the full range of school activities

  • is suitable for all body shapes.

For our school uniform information see Our uniform.

Hiring our facilities

You may apply to use our school’s facilities for appropriate purposes provided your hiring of the facility doesn't interfere with our teaching and learning programs.

We assess each application on a case-by-case basis. Find out more at Using school facilities.

If you’re interested in hiring our facilities, contact us for details.

Ukulele

Students in Years 3-6 may choose to opt in for Ukulele lessons for a fee. Students do not need their own instrument as the school will provide one. Students have a weekly lesson and get to participate in several performances throughout the year.

Dance Group

During Terms 1-3, boys and girls in Years 3-6 can choose to opt in for Dance Group for a fee. Dance Group runs on Fridays at lunch time. Students learn dances to be performed at both internal and external events.

During Term 4, Dance Group opens up to students in K-2. The focus of this time is to learn a dance to be performed at our annual Christmas Carols event.

Grow Getters

Grow Getters is the name of our student gardening club. The group meets on Tuesdays and cares for the gardens throughout the school, particularly our vegetable garden. Students are involved in planting, watering, weeding and harvesting activities. There is no fee to be involved but numbers are limited.

Mindfulness Mondays

On Mondays at lunch time Miss Sawyer runs mindfulness activities in her class room. Attendance is via expression of interest and numbers are limited.

Wattle Seed Experiment

In 2020 CPS applied to be part of an Australian 'Seeds in space' experiment. Golden Wattle seeds are being taken to the International Space Station for 6 months and then returned for students to grow, comparing the ones that stayed on Earth. Our application video can be viewed here. We were successful in this application and our seeds are currently in space!
